Cote d'Ivoire Profile
Schools for Africa
UNICEF Côte d’Ivoire is a trusted government partner, and since 2014 UNICEF has positively affected over 250,000 children. UNICEF is an important contributor to the country’s Education Sector Plan (2016–2025), having advocated for the now compulsory education mandate for children aged 6 to 16 years and helping to ensure that the most marginalized young people can access learning opportunities. And as women can play a critical role in scaling education, UNICEF promotes mothers’ clubs in pre-school and primary schools that deliver pro-education messaging, peace-building, girls’ education, ending violence against children and girls, birth registration and gender equality.
